Privacy Policy


Information Provided to Litera

Any information provided by the User for the purposes of sending a campaign, including the recipients of the campaign, will remain the property of the User and will only be used by Litera for the purposes of transmitting the campaign to the relevant recipients and to provide and maintain the Service.

Litera will not monitor, edit, or disclose the contents, or recipient lists of any User's campaigns sent via the Service unless required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  1. protect and defend the rights or property of Litera;
  2. act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of its users or the public, to the extent permitted by law; or
  3. prevent a breach or a continuation of a breach of any of the terms and conditions of use, or to asses if there has been such a breach.

Litera agrees to maintain as confidential and private the specific contact information provided by the User for the purposes of sending a campaign, however Litera may disclose aggregated data so long as it does not specifically identify, or enable the identification of, any contacts. For example, Litera may state that "X" number of emails were sent by all clients within the month of January.

Processing of Information by Litera

The User acknowledges and agrees that Litera neither endorse the contents of any User communications nor assume responsibility for any threatening, libelous, obscene, harassing or offensive material contained therein, or any infringement of third party intellectual property rights arising therefrom or any crime facilitated thereby.

The User accepts sole responsibility for the accuracy, quality, integrity, legality, reliability, appropriateness, and intellectual property ownership or right to use any personal information provided in respect of a recipient or intended recipient.

The User acknowledges and agrees that certain technical processing of email messages may be required.

Litera process customer information in the United States. All customer information subject to this privacy policy is collected in the United States, obtained through websites in the United States, or obtained in other countries and transferred to the United States. Regardless where it originated, all customer data subject to this policy receives the same level of privacy protection as described in this policy statement.

Updating Personal Information

Upon request Litera will provide the User with information about whether we hold, or process on behalf of a third party, any of the User's personal information. To request this information please contact us at concep.support@litera.com.

The User has the right to access and correct, or delete their Personal Information and preferences at any time. This may be accomplished by clicking on the link, "Settings", where the User can view and make changes to of their Personal Information immediately. For security purposes, certain Personal Information can only be changed by contacting support. We will respond to your request promptly within a reasonable timeframe.

Confidentiality

The User may be granted access to trade secrets and other information that is confidential and proprietary to Litera. The User shall at any time, during or after termination of this Agreement, directly or indirectly divulge, use or permit the use of any confidential or proprietary information, except as required in the course of dealing.

Use of Information by Litera

Litera periodically sends out emails to Users containing information about system updates or new features. These emails are sent only to those users who have opted in to receive them and can be opted out from at any time by following the instructions contained in the email or by contacting us at concep.support@litera.com.
